In Saudi, my family and I live on a westernized compound with American food, curriculum and rights, but that doesn't mean everything is American. There are so many different cultures and ethnic groups of people. Everything is diverse. I soon became friends with people from somewhere else across the world. I've had the privilege of trying new foods and games. It's the ultimate clash of cultures.

Saudi Arabia is the 13th largest country in the world. Over 95% of the country is either desert or semi-desert.
Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam and home to the religion's holiest shrines, Mecca and Medina.
The Saudi King's official title is "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques".
It's the largest country without a river.
Having and cosuming pork or alcohol is illegal.
In Saudi, everything closes during salat (prayer time). Salat occurs five times a day with prayer calls being heard the many mosques
The name of Muezzin (who makes the prayer call) faces the direction of the Ka'ba.
Women are forbiden to drive
The currency is called Saudi Riyals. 3.75 SAR (Saudi Riyal) converts to 1 U.S Dollar.
